Many travel magazines confirm that Bali is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Any tourist will love the enchanted island and everything it has to offer – from its pristine white sandy beaches, crystal clear blue waters and the wide array of activities that are sure to make your Bali getaway a vacation to remember.
Bali is located in the Southern part of the equator and is one of Indonesia’s 33 provinces. The 5,632 sq mile island has a beautiful tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 20 to 33 degrees Celsius. It rarely rains in the area of Bukit and all other parts of the island during summer. High levels of humidity can be expected on the rainy season, from December until March. In higher regions such as areas in Kintamani and Bedugul, you can expect cool evenings that would require you to wear jackets after sunset. As well as the mountainous regions where it is raining of the skies are covered with clouds most o f the time. The size of the island makes it possible to explore on day tours so you can go anywhere on the island and still get back to your hotel in the evening.
The island is popular around the world for its picturesque sceneries, the breathtaking view of the landscapes, the 6 volcanoes that stretches from western part of the island to the east and its beautiful crater lakes and deep ravines and fast flowing rivers. It is also known for its lush tropical rainforest, the rice terraces that you will see along the road, and the fertile and abundant vegetable and fruit gardens the locals tend to everyday. The southern part of the island boasts of its world class beaches with white powdery sands and beaches on the other part of the island that are covered with gray or black volcanic sand.
Other than exploring Bali’s natural wonders, a visit to the island will give you the opportunity to witness and discover the rich Balinese culture, history, and tradition that has been preserved over the years. The people’s rich culture and many influences including Hindu, Buddhist, Javanese, Chinese, Indian, as well as western influences are evident in the arts and crafts. In the past, Balinese artists followed rigid and strict religious and aesthetic guidelines in their arts, not having the opportunity to express themselves freely. However, that has changed when the European artists started arriving in Bali and influenced the artists living in different “artist villages”.
The island’s economy is centered in the Southern part where most people find jobs in the hotel and tourism industry, garments and textiles industry and small businesses owned by locals that produce souvenirs and handicrafts. Some of the most valuable products of the island include cacao, tobacco, vanilla, soy beans, fruits, vegetables, and chilies. Bali also exports silver jewelries and accessories to Japan, the United States, and Europe.
The natural beauty of the island and modern facilities especially in its many world class hotels and resorts guarantees a once in a lifetime experience not only for the couples but for the whole family as well.
